About the Role

Minimum Requirements
Applicants who wish to apply may need to meet the following criteria:
A B.Cur Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
A Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education, which appears to be essential for this role.
A Diploma in Critical Care could serve as an added advantage.
Registration with SANC, including Assessor registration.
Around 3–5 years of experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator or Facilitator may be preferred.
Computer literacy can be beneficial for documentation and communication.
A driver’s license may be required for work-related travel.
Familiarity with the private healthcare environment could make the role easier to adapt to.
Possible Responsibilities
The person appointed may be expected to:
Take part in research activities that can contribute to the improvement of learning methods or clinical practice.
Help with the registration of learners with SANC and ensure that necessary documentation is in order.
Assist in maintaining healthcare and educational standards as required by regulatory bodies.
Take part in planning and organizing academic projects or training sessions.
Review and adjust teaching and evaluation strategies where needed.
Keep accurate student and clinical learning records.
Support the clinical learning process through structured facilitation and mentorship.
Assess learners’ progress and provide regular feedback that can guide their development.
Contribute to preparing and conducting tests, exams, and clinical evaluations.
Record training activities that may be used for reporting or planning purposes.
Maintain positive working relationships with Nursing Managers, Unit Managers, and other internal teams.
